Welcome to Maverick Motorcycle Training! My name is Mike Nelson and I have been instructing Motorcycle Training since 1996. I am based in Blandford in Dorset and am fortunate enough to have permission to use the Old Airfield on Blandford Camp, which is one of the largest training areas in the South West.

My instructors have either a Military or Police background, and we pride ourselves in delivering first class training. As well as carrying out CBT Training, they are also qualified to deliver Advanced and Off-Road Training. We provide a wide variety of courses and will 'tailor' courses to individual needs. Customers are never disappointed, returning again and again for further training. Our courses are as follows:
CBT/DAS
Many training establishments adopt the policy of teaching students to ride around the test routes. This is not our strategy. We will teach you to ride the motorcycle in all situations before perfecting the skills required to pass the Test. Our pass rate reflects the high standards we set ourselves in ensuring that every student goes to the Test with confidence.

ADVANCED TRAINING
Advanced Courses can be from two to five days and can be designed to include a tour of your choice. Competitively priced accommodation can be arranged in the local area should you wish to take in the sights of the South West. The South Coast in particularly attractive and provides some excellent motorcycle routes. All courses are based on the Police Roadcraft System of training. Students who joined us for these courses are never disappointed, many return, bringing friends. The result will be that you will feel much more confidant to use your motorcycle to its full potential.

OFF ROAD TRAINING
This course is not for the faint hearted, as Military Instructors we are one of the only organizations to be classed as OFF road instructors. All training takes place in the Dorset/Wiltshire area, taking in the many miles of byways. You will be given expert tuition by one of our Off Road experts. If you have an off road bike then this could be one 'dirty weekend' you will never forget! Accommodation can be arranged if required.
BIKE TOURS
We can also arrange bike tours of Dorset and the South West, as well as the Lake District and Scotland. You will need a bike and clothing for 2 - 5 days depending on the length of tour. As well as touring you can also incorporate the Advanced Course. Accommodation is arranged and there is nothing better than at the end of the day relaxing in a beautiful Dorset village pub, discussing the day's highlights. All tuition is carried out using Autocom Pro 1 Intercoms, which are second to none. These courses can be arranged on a 'one to one' basis or as a group booking.
